As we’ve been staying at this house, we’ve considered it a castle.  Today’s shot is a stretch, but I’m publishing it.  It is of my son being the knight coming to the rescue.

While I’ve been blessed with incredible photographic opportunities this trip, I’m making a conscience effort not to spend all of my time shooting while my kids are enjoying their surroundings. That being said, my composition and setup are severely limited, but I’m truly enjoying the trip.

Today we visited the coast and spent a great deal of time at a few isolated beaches. After visiting them, we of course had to visit Cannon Beach and view the Haystack monolith. It was incredible. The hardest part of this photo was timing it so that there was no one else in the shot. Any who have visited this sight during the month of August realize that I should win some sort of photographic recognition for this feat alone.

I’m really loving the lighting in this home we are staying at. A whole new set of natural lighting possibilities are available.

My family and I are on vacation up in Oregon.  We are having a wonderful time and are staying at an absolutely amazing place thanks to the owner of the company I work for.  I am truly blessed to have the employment I do and the wonderful benefits that they provide.
