Suburbia 242/365: Order
Modern Suburbia along with its Home Owners Associations are an attempt at enforcing order. There are regulations on yards, roof pitch angles, percentage of the front of your home that has to be brick, the list goes on and on. I live in a place governed by such regulations and understand what they are trying to do, but I no longer agree entirely with the forced sameness of everything.

17/365 – Electronics
Not a first frame. This shot took a few practice shots to get the lighting correct. It was my first serious attempt at light painting. This is my Reflection entry to the 2009 Photo Challenge hosted by PhotoChallenge.org.

I feel that I’ve been missing an opportunity to possibly stretch myself by forcing me to look for new ways to capture subjects. As a result, I’m going to attempt to capture at least three night photos this week. I’d really like to commit to doing one per day, but with Christmas coming up this week, I don’t want anything to take precedence over spending time with my family.
The photos I’m publishing today don’t fit the theme of this post, but having nostalgia for warmer brighter days, I was reviewing some of my fall photographs and chose to include these two:
