To DMM 194/365: Heat

without comments

Life got really crazy the last couple days.  There are events that happen in life that really put things into perspective. Things once thought to be important become insignificant and one realizes the value of close friendships and loved ones and how fleeting those things can be.

T100 Waiting 186/365: Truck

without comments

This truck has been sitting in this field for as long as I can remember.  It is not particularly worn down or appear beyond repair, it just looks as if someone parked it there and never came back.  I don’t know if they intended to abandon it or if they had intentions to drive it again but never got around to coming back. Either way, I think about it every time I run down this road.

Nature 185/365: Burst

without comments

Yesterday’s Macro inspired me and I decided to do another one for my burst photo.  This is the top of a chive plant flowering.  I love the flowers on these things.

Careful, Or I’ll Fall 184/365: Macro/Close-up

without comments

My 7 year old daughter looked at this picture and said "Wow, look at all that Bokeh!"  I guess she’s been listening to my talk. :)

I shot this this morning using my extension tubes as I don’t have a macro lens.  I used tube 1 and 2.  For $8 shipped to me, I think I got my money’s worth out of these things.

It Tolls For Thee 182/365: Half

without comments

Strobist: Single flash above and camera right held by my lovely wife, snooted with a rolled-up newspaper. See, print journalism isn’t dead! Fired with CyberSync’s. Flash 1/32 power, the rest is in the EXIF.
