180/365: Safety
My kids are very good at always wearing their helmets when they ride their bikes. I must admit, when I was a child, I didn’t. I’m not even sure they had them. That would have saved me quite a bit of pain.
174/365: Late
I had a tough time coming up with a good shot for this subject. In the end I decided to pull out the flash and see what I could do. I sure saw it looking a lot better in my head! Oh well, that’s how we learn I suppose.
Strobist: Single flash through an umbrella camera left.
173/365: Commute
I’m very lucky, I work .4 miles from my home. My commute is very minor, in fact, I can walk my commute in a matter of minutes. This is a view of the rush hour traffic that I only hit once I get on my street.
Kamas 163/365: Neon
I really like the town I live in. I consider myself very fortunate to be able to live here and interact with the wonderful people that also call it home.
Melts My Heart 161/365: Smile
Headshot of my daughter. It was hard to get this shot in the noon day sun, but we moved to the shade and used a silver reflector to fill in the shadows on her face. I picked this tree as a background because it creates nice bokeh dots.
It is Wednesday right?
160/365: Shadow
Dizzy 159/365: Spin
My son was spinning as well, but my favorite shot we took was of him no longer being able to spin. Of course, to him, the world was still spinning when this shot was taken.
Self Portrait 154/365: Spoon
This will be my last post until Sunday or Monday as my family and I are going on Holiday. I’ll have spotty Internet access and check out what the topics are and still capture them, I just won’t be able to post my results until after I return. Have a great one everyone.
Leaky Faucet 153/365: Sink
What a fun photo this was to make. I followed the following tutorial found at strobist.blogspot.com/2009/05/how-to-photograph-water-dro…. It is really quite easy to do.
My faucet really doesn’t leak and the hardest part of this was getting it to let out a little drip. Other than that it was no problem at all.
Strobist: Single bare flash at 1/16 power.
